Teacher: Tania Nascimento There is always something to do in São Paulo. São Paulo in one of the biggest cities in the world. Besides being a very important commercial and industrial center, São Paulo is also a vibrant city with many exciting activities.
If you are looking for vibrant place with lots of things to do, why don't you visit our city? The streets are crowded all day. Bars and discos are open all night. Restaurants serve different kinds of food. Do you like arts? There are many museums and in the evening you can choose from among concerts, plays, and movie theaters. If you like going shopping you can buy whatever you want in the malls that are open everyday, including Sundays. But if you only want to relax and take walks, you can visit the beautiful parks and gardens here.

People from São Paulo can go for a walk, ride their bikes, play sports or simply get some rest at a big park, called Villa Lobos located on Avenida Professor Fonseca Rodrigues, n1655. It is the most famous one. There is a big playground, a soccer pitch, two volleyball courts, twenty nine stands, where you can have something to eat or drink.
Other famous park is the Ibirapuera, located on Avenida Pedro Álvares Cabral. There are important public buildings, many museums, a planetarium and Japanese gardens. 2. Movie theaters:
Going to the movies is an interesting option if you live in São Paulo. There are many movie theaters located in different areas of São Paulo. You can see movies from many parts of the world. On weekends they are crowded. People stay in line for a long time in order to see a good movie.

There are different kinds of restaurants in São Paulo.
You can eat food from many parts of the world.
At Almanara restaurant you can eat good Arabian food.
At Crêpe de France you can eat a variety of creps. The French chef Fréderic Serre cooks the creps.
At Colher de Pau restaurant you can eat Northern Brazilian food. They have a traditional menu with jarked meat, paçoca, baião de dois (typical Northern food) and much more.
At 1900 Pizza place you can eat a good variety of pizzas. The Matrix, in Villa Romana, is another good option. 4-Shoppings:
Going to a shopping mall is one of the most exciting things you can do. There you can eat good food, have fun, meet friends and buy whatever you want. The main shopping malls are:

The nightlife in São Paulo is very exciting.
People of different ages usually go to the discos and bars which are open all night.
If you like to dance samba, you will have fun at "Sanba bar" which is located on Vila Madalena, Fidalga street 308, but if you want to dance black music, you should go to the "Soul Sites" in Itaim Bibi, on Doutor Mário Ferraz street, 590.
If you want to have dinner, watch a show with great bands and dance, you should go to the Coppola Music in Vila Madalena on Girassol street 323. Other good option is the "Ampgalaxy" in Pinheiros, Fradique Coutinho street 352.
