NEWSLETTER - Volume 17 - October 2005 ===================================== Hello to all, We are happy that you are with us! Recent natural disasters around the world have destroyed the lives of countless people. We know you want to help in any way. We suggest that you go to www.unicef.org or www.redcross.org if you would like to help. We welcome several classrooms from Sao Paulo SP in Brazil to City Quest. They are working very hard on reports about their special city. Keep an eye on this site to see their published reports as soon as they are received. At this moment we published one report about the city of São Paulo. If any of you past participants have any new reports to add to your page on CQ, just drop us a line here and we will be sure to add your new report to your section of City Quest. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help you with your students' reports. Many of your communities and countries are celebrating holidays soon. Why don't you share about them with our other participants? Send in your reports about holidays and festivals you are having and we will publish them here for you. It would be great to include photos of the events. Soon, for instance, many people in USA will observe Halloween, and in The Netherlands in November is St. Maarten's Day. These two holidays are similar in that children go house to house collecting treats. They are different in other ways. Keep a watch on this site for reports on these and many other holidays from around the world. If we get enough reports, we can set up a new section of City Quest devoted totally toward celebrations around the world! We believe that your city, town, or village is special and we want to help you tell others about how special it is to you and why. Please e-mail us if you have any questions or concerns.
